Séance plénière : Les députés interrogeront le commissaire européen à l’agriculture, Phil Hogan, mardi à 11h00 sur le dernier paquet de mesures proposé par la Commission pour aider les agriculteurs européens à surmonter les effets de la chute des prix, le coût élevé des moyens de production et l’embargo russe sur les produits alimentaires de l'UE.

"Results oriented CLLD in fisheries areas": Helsinki, Finland - 24-26 May 2016.

The theme of the next FARNET transnational seminar will be “Results oriented CLLD in fisheries areas”.

This seminar is organised at the initiative of the European Commission with the support of the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the South Finland FLAG.
The event will take place in Helsinki, from the 24th - 26th May 2016 and is designed to:

> help FLAGs develop better strategies, using SMART indicators and targets, to deliver results;

> help both FLAGs and MAs to develop monitoring systems and to steer the delivery of fisheries CLLD;

> open a discussion on the broader impacts of CLLD

Communiqué de presse - L'Agence de contrôle des pêches de l'UE aidera à déceler les navires de migrants - Commission de la pêche

L'Agence européenne de contrôle des pêches (AECP), qui centralise et coordonne les contrôles de pêche des États membres, sera habilitée à utiliser les données fournies par ses systèmes de comptes rendus des navires afin de déceler les navires qui transportent des migrants, grâce aux règles mises à jour adoptées par la commission de la pêche du Parlement européen ce mardi. Elle pourra aussi mener de nouveaux types d'opérations en vue de démanteler les circuits de trafic d'êtres humains.

US Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome and FAO host Fishackathon

The U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome and FAO will partner to host a Fishackathon on Earth Day weekend, 22-24 April, at FAO headquarters in Rome. This is the third annual Fishackathon, but the first time it will be hosted in Rome. Fishackathon is a public-private partnership that aims to capitalize on the expansion of mobile phone and internet use across the developing world to address sustainable fishery challenges.

Joint efforts to promote small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and Black Seas

The future of small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea was the topic of discussion at a regional conference held 7-9 March 2016 in Algiers, Algeria. The Regional Conference entitled "Building a future for sustainable small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea" was organized by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and FAO’s Fisheries and Aquaculture Department.
