Ending child labour for girls and boys in the fisheries sector

More than 129 million child labourers in the world work in the agriculture sector, which includes fisheries, aquaculture, forestry and livestock. These girls and boys, between the ages of 5 and 17, are performing work that interferes with their education or damages their health or personal development.

TrapaniOggi - Al via il meeting del progetto BioVecQ.

Si svolge a Trapani, da oggi fino a sabato prossimo, il IV meeting del progetto BIOVecQ, iniziativa di cooperazione transfrontaliera promossa all’interno del programma europeo Italia-Tunisia. L’iniziativa che vede coinvolte le massime istituzioni scientifiche siciliane e tunisine operanti nella ricerca applicata del settore dei prodotti della pesca mira a favorire lo sviluppo e lo sfruttamento sostenibile della pesca nei due contesti territoriali attraverso l’integrazione e l’armonizzazione di processi biotecnologici, strumenti analitici e decisionali. First FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture e-book available

The FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department will be producing selected titles as e-books, offering our readers greater content accessibility, portability and ease of use. The first title in the collection is Fishing harbour planning, construction and management, a technical paper covering all aspects of fishing port infrastructure, from inception to construction and management of the fishing port or landing once constructed.
